Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 44 children in the United States today. The National Aurtism Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing affordable therapy and ART therapy facilities to individuals blessed with Autism and suffering from mental health disabilities. At Aurtism we use Art as a from of communication and expression. Our Art Facilities are designed to give our members a safe, friendly, and AMAZING experience like no other. Our dedication to the community and our members is our number one priority.
What is Art?
Art is a highly diverse range of human activities engaged in creating visual, auditory, or performed artifacts— artworks—that express the author’s imaginative or technical skill, and are intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power. We at AURTISM believe in the healing power of Art. It is proven that art can awaken parts of the brain the important to healing the mind.
